6 Reasons to Work a Bad Job Before Thinking About Becoming an Entreupeneur

If you want to become a mogul, you can’t just skip to the end.  you need to take it step by step in order to truly understand where success comes from.
A key stepping stone on the way to success is to work at a horrible job, in order to truly understand the daily grind of business.  Using what you learn at the bottom will help you climb to the top.
1.  Customers
The first order of business is you get to know customers.  Customers aren’t rational.  Some of them can be straight hazardous to your health.
Problem is, customers are also the backbone of any business.  Work in retail or any kind of customer service.  You learn how to adapt to even the most crazy of demands.
2.  Sales
Working at a bad job also teaches you the skills to sell.  Not just selling your product, but yourself as well.
You need to learn how to garner confidence against a preconception.  People don’t want you or your product.  You need to learn to show them they’re wrong, and show them better than anyone else.
3.  Product
You can’t be an entrepreneur without something to profit from.  You need a product that excites, and you need to know what the people want.
Working as a cashier or stocker, you see the things people buy.  You see what kind of people buy them.  Accumulate that knowledge, and use it for personal gain.
4.  Management
The only way to see if a management style sinks or swims is to experience it.  Things on paper never compare to the real thing.
Everyone suffers under a bad boss at one time or another.  Think of every grueling experience as your own episode of Undercover Boss.  By weeding out the god techniques from the bad, ou can whip us a successful work force in no time.
5.  Self Discovery
No matter how confident you are, you could always learn more about yourself.  The best way to do that is under pressure.
By putting yourself in an uncomfortable spot, you’ll know when you rise to beat it, and when you crack.  You need to work under bad conditions, and strengthen yourself to wipe out your weaknesses.
6.  Value
Money is a persistent issue through your life.  You only really know what it’s worth when you don’t have any.
Scraping by on minimum wage is a joke.  Everything about your life is worse.  Knowing the value of a dollar when you finally start having money will help you think rationally about your business decisions and frivolous spending.
In closing:
You need a foundation before you build a house.  All your big shot goals will collapse under you if you don’t have the experience to guide what you’re doing.  Your job might be bad right now but what you’re learning is invaluable.  Don’t waste it complaining.
